Built-in-cable power banks: MOMAX Mini⁺ vs Pro⁺ for Hong Kong

Choose MOMAX 1-Pac Pass Mini⁺ IP171 if you want a lighter 10000mAh power bank with a built-in USB-C cable for everyday phone charging. Choose 1-Pac Pass Pro⁺ IP175HK if you also want a detachable UK wall plug and a clearer 30W + 15W allocation for two devices. Both list up to 45W from one USB-C connection; connecting another device changes the available output.

Mini⁺ or Pro⁺: start with the devices you carry

Mini⁺ weighs 231g and measures 82.3 × 52 × 38.8mm. Pro⁺ weighs 357g and measures 120 × 65 × 32mm, adding a wall-charger function with its detachable UK plug. Both have a built-in retractable USB-C cable. If you mainly top up one phone and can recharge the pack with a separate charger, Mini⁺ is the lighter choice. If you want one pack for a compatible wall socket and more predictable output allocation to a laptop and phone, compare Pro⁺.

The manufacturer identifies C1 as the built-in retractable USB-C cable, C2 as the USB-C socket and A1 as the USB-A socket on both models. These labels matter: on Pro⁺, the 30W share in the combinations below belongs to C1. A phone with a Lightning connector needs an appropriate separate cable connected to a socket; the built-in USB-C cable does not plug directly into Lightning.

Does 45W still apply when two or three devices charge together?

The table gives MOMAX’s listed output combinations, rather than measured charging speed. Mini⁺ lists 5V = 4.8A for the shown multi-output combinations, equivalent to 24W shared in total by multiplication; it does not promise 24W to each device. MOMAX does not list how that 24W is divided between the active connections. Pro⁺ lists the same allocations in AC wall-charger mode and DC battery mode.

Manufacturer-listed single and shared output. C1 = built-in USB-C cable; C2 = USB-C socket; A1 = USB-A socket.
Connections in use Mini⁺ IP171 Pro⁺ IP175HK
C1 built-in cable only USB-C PD up to 45W USB-C PD up to 45W
C2 USB-C socket only USB-C PD up to 45W USB-C PD up to 45W
C1 + C2 24W shared total (5V × 4.8A) C1: 30W + C2: 15W
C1 + A1 This combination is not stated in the checked specification; check the manual. C1: 30W + A1: 15W
C2 + A1 24W shared total (5V × 4.8A) 15W shared total
C1 + C2 + A1 24W shared total (5V × 4.8A) C1: 30W + C2 and A1: 15W shared

How to choose for a phone, tablet or laptop

One USB-C phone: favour size and weight

If your phone supports USB-C charging, either model lets you leave a separate phone cable behind. Charging is limited by the phone’s supported profile, battery state and temperature; a 45W source does not make every phone charge at 45W. Compare Mini⁺ product options if carrying less weight matters most.

A laptop and phone together: check the laptop at 30W

For Pro⁺ with C1 and C2 in use, connect the laptop to the built-in C1 cable if its USB-C PD requirements fit the listed 30W share, and use C2 for the phone’s 15W share. Check the laptop manufacturer’s required voltage and power first. A laptop that requires more than 30W may charge slowly or lose battery during use; even single-output 45W does not meet every laptop’s requirements. Mini⁺’s listed 24W shared combinations are a weaker fit when the laptop needs higher USB-C PD power.

Three devices: the second pair shares one allowance

On Pro⁺, C1 can receive a listed 30W allocation while C2 and A1 share 15W. Do not read this as 30W + 15W + 15W. On Mini⁺, the listed C1 + C2 + A combination shares 24W in total. Compare Pro⁺ product options and your devices’ requirements before choosing a three-device setup.

Questions before you buy

Can I use the built-in cable with every iPhone?

The built-in cable ends in USB-C. Check the connector on your exact iPhone: a USB-C model can use it directly, while a Lightning model needs an appropriate separate cable connected to a socket. Charging power also depends on the device’s supported charging profile.

Does Pro⁺ keep 45W on the laptop when I add a phone?

No. MOMAX lists C1 + C2 as 30W + 15W, in both AC and DC modes. C1 is the built-in cable. Check whether the laptop supports that 30W allocation before relying on it for simultaneous charging.

Does 10000mAh mean the same number of phone charges?

No. The headline capacity does not establish usable USB output or a number of full charges. MOMAX lists rated output capacities of 5800mAh for Mini⁺ and 5600mAh for Pro⁺ at 5V = 2.4A. Device battery size, conversion losses, charging conditions and use while charging affect the result.

What does the Pro⁺ wall plug add?

The IP175HK configuration includes a detachable UK plug and lists 100–240V AC input. Check the socket type and the manufacturer’s instructions before use. Mini⁺ has no listed AC wall-plug function; its USB-C input is up to 30W, as is Pro⁺’s USB-C input.

Power banks on flights from Hong Kong: 2026 rules and model checks

Flying from Hong Kong with a power bank? Start with the airline’s carriage rules, then choose the battery capacity, weight and charging connections that suit your trip. This guide covers Hong Kong airport departures and the MOMAX models currently listed by EverythingStore.

Hong Kong power-bank flight rules in 2026

Hong Kong’s Civil Aviation Department issued DGAC 2/2026 on 28 March 2026 with immediate effect for flights departing Hong Kong International Airport: each passenger may carry no more than two power banks, in cabin baggage only. Passengers must not recharge power banks during the flight.

Before travelling, check your operating airline’s latest requirements for battery energy in watt-hours (Wh), any approval needed, onboard use and where the pack must be kept. These may be stricter than the circular. Check each flight on a connecting itinerary, including any domestic flight at your destination.

Protect the pack against short circuits and accidental activation. Keep it separate from loose metal objects and follow the manufacturer’s packing instructions. If cabin baggage is collected at the gate, tell staff that it contains a power bank and keep the power bank in the cabin.

Is 5000mAh or 10000mAh better for travel?

Choose 5000mAh when you prioritise a lighter pack for daily top-ups; compare 10000mAh when you want more nominal capacity and accept the extra size and weight. Capacity does not guarantee a number of full phone charges. Wireless transfer losses, temperature and how you use your phone all affect the result.

For flight checks, read the actual Wh marking on your pack. A headline mAh number alone does not establish airline acceptance: different battery voltages produce different energy ratings. Use the exact model’s documented Wh rather than a generic conversion using your phone’s USB charging voltage.

Compare the exact MOMAX model before you buy

The table below uses MOMAX-listed energy, dimensions and weight for seven reviewed models. Prices, availability and links are read from the current WooCommerce products when the page renders. The model specifications were reviewed on 9 October 2026. Read the actual pack’s label and ask your airline about acceptance before you fly.

Magnetic attachment and wireless speed are separate

MOMAX explicitly limits compatible iPhone wireless output to 7.5W for Q.Mag X IP116A and Q.Mag X1 IP117A, even though their advertised wireless maximum is 15W for compatible devices. S.Pass IP161Q2 lists Qi2 / MPP up to 15W; S.Pass² IP163Q22 lists Qi 2.2 up to 25W. These maxima require a receiving device that supports the matching charging profile. The checked S.Pass Air specification does not identify it as Qi2.

Built-in cable or a separate cable?

Mini⁺ IP171 includes a retractable USB-C cable and up to 45W wired output. Pro⁺ IP175HK combines a battery pack, retractable cable and detachable UK wall plug; its reviewed configuration is 357g. A wall plug does not remove the battery’s carriage restrictions. Confirm USB-C PD requirements and shared-output limits for a laptop rather than choosing solely from the headline wattage.

Questions before you pack

Can a power bank go in checked baggage?

For Hong Kong departures covered by DGAC 2/2026, power banks belong in carry-on baggage only. Keep them with you if a bag is checked at the gate.

Does a listed Wh value guarantee I can take that model?

No. The actual battery label, condition, quantity and your airline’s current rules all matter. This page lists manufacturer figures and does not certify an individual pack or guarantee boarding acceptance.

Can I charge my power bank from the aircraft’s USB socket?

DGAC 2/2026 prohibits recharging power banks during flights. Check the airline separately for its rules about using a power bank to charge other devices.

Where can I check price, stock and Hong Kong delivery?

Open the exact product option linked in the table. EverythingStore currently offers free SF Express delivery to Hong Kong with no minimum spend; estimated delivery is 2–5 business days for an in-stock, paid order with a complete address. Read the delivery and returns conditions before ordering. For a capacity or compatibility decision, compare the power-bank category and Q.Mag X versus X1 guide.
